Shakespeare Without Fear
Master Class and Performance Showcase
TEN WEEK MASTER CLASS
Shakespeare Without Fear is excited to offer its first extended performance class, meeting Thursdays, 6-9pm, for 10 weeks. Perfect your stage technique while exploring the texts of Shakespeare in-depth. Actors will be cast in at least two scenes and will receive individual feedback from experienced directors.
PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE
The 10-week Master Class will end with a live performance in the Library of The Players Club in NYC on December 12th. Industry guests will be invited to attend. Master Class and Performance Showcase limited to 12 participants.
THE PLAYERS CLUB
Actors in the Master Class will perform in the Library of the historic Players Club, located at 16 Gramercy Park South. The Players is a social club founded in NYC by the famed 19th century Shakespearean actor Edwin Booth, whose former mansion serves as the Clubhouse. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1962.
Master Class Schedule
The Master Class meets every Thursday for 10 weeks, from 6pm to 9pm. The directors will address stage technique and textual analysis as actors work through scenes with two to four partners. Actors will be showcased in a final performance for industry members and invited guests.
